Development work on LoanVision v3.0 began last week. Since this is essentially a computer language upgrade, this project should be completed fairly quickly. But there will be substantial benefits:
Compatiblility with Windows NT, 2K, and XP;
Resolution of non-LPT printing issues;
Elimination of large font issues;
Standardized Cut & Paste keystrokes;
Look and feel appearance consistant with newer applications;
Unified code base between our Windows and Mac versions (will shorten release cycles);
Standardized 3d buttons on the Mac version;
Improved print quality on the Mac version;
Mac version should be substantially faster.
Here's the steps that need to be taken for us to complete the update:
1) Update the window appearances;
2) Convert scrolling lists to clickable tables;
3) Fix setup data tables;
4) Convert printer setups to native functions;
5) package for end user installations;
6) Internal testing;
7) Windows version available for first round of beta testing;
8) Convert Windows fonts to cross platform fonts;
9) Convert Mac version to native fonts;
10) Release both Windows and Mac version for 2nd round of beta testing;
11) Final release.
We hope to get to the first round of beta testing by the end of November.
